Attacking his resume? This is about prime vs prime, when they was both in their peak physical conditions.

like canelo was able to disorientate 3G with his light middleweight punches?

3G has good chin, very good, but he still gets hurt and gets tagged a lot.

This is MW boxing, not HW which is much slower.

his resume is a record of who he knocked out. How are you planning on finding out what his power is like. You gonna ring ghostfrekinbusters.

Ahh so now HW power is irrelevant to a MWs chin.

And yet you are asking about a MWs chin in relation to great power....suddenly you need to introduce other factors in order to try and pretend its NOT about power!

ilkieboxing - "its about power! UMMMM oh i got disproved so no its now not really about power hurhurhur"

You do know Toney was a HW himself when he faced Evander don't you? GGG can put on 50lbs and slug it out vs HW fighters and survive. Christ, Roy Jones survived up there.

    no he cant.

You WANT it to be so.

Its not so. Toney did it across the weight categories, 3G is a career MW. That is what is real. The rest is your 3G fanfiction.

If you slotted in Golovkin for Tiberi the night he fought Toney, we wouldn't be having this discussion and Toney would be eating through a straw.

James was wildly inconsistent especially at MW.

Golovkin is one of the most consistent fighters in MW history. Even on his worst day he's put guys in the infirmary.

Toney would have murdered GGG. He was under rated at MW but in shape and in his prime, I think he could have been the best ever at 160

Not true dip****. I wasn't on the losing side because I predicted GGG would WIN both those fights didn't I?! Lol! I also predicted there would be corruption JUST LIKE in both Ward v.s Kovalev fights and there was! But GGG dominated to the point where it would be too obvious to just flat out give Canelo the win. But one judge was actually dumb enough to blatantly try. You were just too stupid to see it coming. Or you didn't care ;) I kinda think it was the latter.

Jones Jr always had a crackable chin and it's VERY possible GGG would've gave his ass the Lebedev treatment :D Now Toney had a good chin... but proved to be beatable didn't he? He got a gift once early on in his career and I KNOW you know who it was against :)

GGG is unbeaten, his code has never been cracked, and is on his way to breaking Hopkins title defense record. DEAL WITH IT. He still has that big Ol' ZERO in the loss column. LOL!

its true that Toney would not win every fight in a series with 3G.

But on their best nights each its no question. The only concession is that it would be one of toneys toughest fights.

My problem is that this is the Buster Douglas syndrome. He was the best HW in history. Because "prime" Douglas might beat everybody, even if it's just for one night and never to be repeated.

That's a little unfair on the guys that clock in with solid performances time after time.

Thats becasue you call it a Buster Douglas syndrome. A fight result is about 2 peoples performances, never about one.

Calling it BD syndrome is completely unfair on the people who win great fights a lot, trying to make them the same as someone who beats mediocre opposition consistently by ko.
