Would of been an awesome fight had it happened when Pavlik was in his prime. We might get to see Golovkin hurt for the first time, Pavlik usually beat big punchers at their own game with his size, power and sheer relentlessness.

But Golovkin is no ordinary puncher, he was just as relentless, eventually I think his superior chin would be the difference and he'd stop Pavlik. I see the fight being similar to McClellen vs Jackson but this time it's Jackson with the iron chin who overcomes the bigger fighter.

Prime Pavlik, the one that beat Miranda, and Taylor, would have been a hell of a fight. He'd have definitely tested Golovkin's chin.

Golovkin is a level above Pavlik who whilst solid was a basic fighter.

I think GGG takes over after 4 rounds and busts up a disheartened Pavlik in 9 to 10 rounds.

LMAO! :risas3: Stay triggered ****. ;) It didn’t take much! Lol!

And lay off the autograph hounding and learn about the sport. Lol GGG has the more effective jab of the two. And he has the better skills. YOKSAAH ;)

And no doubt you’ll..... be triggered by that too. Lol

Big difference here will be the footwork which is way better for Golovkin and like said here before I still think Pavlik will have problems to fight while going backward

25 posters voted GGG by KO, but tell me this.. Who the duck has GGG knocked out on the Elite level that would suggest hed stop a guy of pavliks caliber, who's never, EVER been stopped in his illustrious career?.. Lol

Like I said, its the usual suspects overrating his power as always.

Pavlik had a good chin and engine. He was a very big middleweight. I think it would turn out like the Danny Jacobs fight. GGG wins but there would be disputes

Would be a good fight. Id favour GGG, just, but can't see him KOing Pavlik. Wouldn't surprise me if it went the other way. Pavlik would hit GGG harder than he's ever been hit. His chin does seem ridiculous though

If Taylor could nearly KO Pavlik then GGG can do it for sure but interesting fight, GGG might have problems with Pavlik high workrate

Would be similar to a Carlos Monzon vs Rodrigo Valdez fight.
Ironman vs big puncher. GGG had better skills and a excellent chin.
For the first time in his career GGG would be rocked but his higher
work rate would be the difference.
GGG on pts in a classic.
