I think GGG will be a popular pick, and I would make him the favorite? Although narrowly. I think this would be a close fight that could go either way. I think GGG has the stiffer stronger jab, but I think he would find it difficult to dominate with it against the taller and tangier Pavlik. I don’t think GGG can outbox him in the manner that Hopkins did, if at all. I could see a draw, as my pick but not sure if that is allowed lol. So I will call it similar to GGG’s SD win over Jacobs. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pavlik win, but not sure many will pick that.
At one point it looked like Golovkin was a lot better than Pavlik, but the fact is Jacobs was the first REAL test Golovkin faced, and even though he was getting older and fading, he simply wasn't impressive. I think it's safe to say Golovkin was never as good as his hype. I think the 07 Pavlik has every chance in the world of beating Triple G.
