K2 should make an offer to DiBella for Jacobs, the same offer they gave BJS.

If nothing else, if Jacobs declined that kind of money to try for full WBA... fans would know exactly which side was the issue regarding Haymon/HBO

I hope it gets made. It's a good fight and interesting matchup, particulalry because Korobov seems to be a huge MW. I have a feeling Korobov is able to make it competitive in the first half. Could see him making it to the end but taking a lot of punishment like Martin Murray.

LOL @ the GGG fans defending this rubbish fight saying but but Korobum was a good amatuer he was winning every round against the great Andy Lee before he got caught

2016 the GGG bum train rolls on, it will be Korobum, Heiland and then Johnson when his shoulder recovers, he will continue to duck elite fighters like Ward.

Normally I would agree, but.... if they want to fight a legit ranked MW who is coming off a respectable win theres really not many options.

Jacobs would be a high profile bout, draw good ratings, and probably be fun to watch.

You ever come off troll duty? Styles make fights and these are genuinely interesting match-ups. Korobov - Lara especially would be a very good technical fight IMO.

When Golovkin leaves the division what is left is a division of bums according to these haters. Maybe we should erase the whole weight division if it´s so weak. Why stop there, lets erase JMW and SMW divisions as well.

Awwww. You still on the GGG vs Ward thing then? Persistence is an admirable trait I guess.

JMW is garbage as is SMW, whereas MW is stacked with a ton of up and coming talent that could make for entertaining and somewhat competitive fights for GGG for years to come. But no many of you want some guy who can barely beat most below average JMW's like Molina, Vanes and Angulo who would be horrifically wrecked by most MW's to move up, or GGG to move up to that wasteland that is SMW.

Korobov is a great opponent for GGG and a very interesting stylistic match up, you all want to see how well GGG does against a master boxer, well here's your chance, now stop complaining like little b****es.

Yup, agree very much. I wish people thought the same. Hell, people think Lara would be a better fight than Korobov.

this could be an interesting fight korobov was easily beating lee before he got caught and he never went down that happens in boxing.

In spite of the criticism he'll undoubtedly receive i personally would be interested to see it. It isn't great timing as far as Matvey's current stock goes but he definitely seems to be a guy who fights to the level of his opposition and if we see that here it could be an intriguing challenge for Gena. Definitely more so than Johnson who would have been KTFO easy, a light hitting swarmer is not the style to trouble Golovkin.

BJS doesn't want it, Johnson fell through and all the Haymon guys (Lara, Jacobs, Quillin) are quiet as usual when Golovkin is actually looking for an opponent plus its unlikely anyways with the promotional and TV divide.

I saw someone mention this on another site and thought it was an interesting point regarding GGG opponents.

Lemieux loses to Rubio and is a bum opponent because of it

Korobov loses to Lee and is a bum opponent because of it

Lee loses to BJS and is a bum opponent because of it

Quillin gets KTFO in 1 against Jacobs, draws with Lee, and his best win is N'Dam who Lemieux beat more soundly yet Peter would be a great opponent

Jacobs gets KO'd by Pirog and would be the best guy on Golovkin's resume because he holds a paper jr title while beating Fletcher, Truax and Mora via injury then stopping Quillin who drew with the above mentioned bum Lee.

Interesting logic. Truth is guys don't want to step up when Gena is looking for opponents and he's a level above everyone in the division which isn't a bad one. None of them are bums but none of them are elite.
