GGG vs Kovalev. Who has the better killer instinct?

The quality of a big puncher is not ko ratio or reputation....its the quality of opposition you kayo, technique, and abilty to land clean shots


Stevens and Rubio never kayoed elite guys

 

Well that's what I was saying about their skills. Against more elite guys, they can't figure out how to land that shot, or when they do, it doesn't have the same affect. They are still punchers though. What else are they really known for besides their punch?

 

Just because you are known for an attribute doesn't mean it's great or good

Matthysse, GGG, wlad, kov, maidana, And Stevenson are punchers

They've actually stopped or dropped top ten contenders n still have high ko ratios

Stevens n rubio are fringe contenders who kayoed club fighters n other fringe contenders... Not a bad thing but they are not great punchers or very good punchers

 

Just to get things cleared, I was just referring to people who (like I said before, plenty) said that they had a punchers chance against GGG and that they would test his chin. While the others you mentioned are what we define as punchers, they still are better fighters than Rubio and Stevens. We don't know how good the latter can punch because they don't really have the skills to deploy it. They still have some pretty good raw power but can't deliver it as effectively. Doesn't/didn't Stevens have the most stoppages in New York city history in the amateurs? It's the amateurs I know but that still accounts for something, even though he was fighting at higher weights. The guys' can punch regardless, we just haven't been able to see them do it against higher opposition that the ones you mentioned.
