Alright, forgot about the Cintron fight, but I think you'd agree both Angulo and Molina have progressed considerably since those early career fights. Do I think Lara could win? Possibly. I doubt it, but if GGG is truly overhyped and not able to deal with a refined fighter who has fast hands and fast feet you could expect him to be outpointed. Lara's a proven talent and has a lot of momentum. He was winning the Matirosyn fight, stopped Angulo, and dominated Trout. I think he does better against GGG than Lee, Geale, Kirkland, Murray or HNN. Given Golovkin's options for April, I'd say he's the one to push Golovkin the most. In particular if it's at a catch weight.
People forget about 3G's boxing skills. He's not fecking the slow-plodder Angulo ! Lara would hit and run but that works against a guy with poor footwork and no control of the distance ! Genna is a master at cutting the ring off, keeping the balance, control of the distance, angles and fainting !
This fight has schooling written all over it. This would be a major step up in talent for Gennady and in my opinion, a bad style matchup for him as well. His team knows this, which is why the fight is just smoke and mirrors. It ain't happening. :deal
triple G won't get credit by many regardless who he beats. lara = jmw martinez = shot ward = too inactive
Lara a good opponent for GGG? It wouldn't last 3 rounds. This guy was almost KTFO by Alfredo f****n Angulo. Come on.
