I did and I said after the Murata fight that he was toast. I gave him the benefit of the doubt against Canelo going into the 3rd fight and to say he disappointed me would be an understatement.
The problem is they always go to Canelo. At least Delahoya lost some close ones. When you can predict the outcome based on the corruption then its bad. For example, i knew if Canelo made the first GGG fight somewhat competitive that there was a very good chance GGG would be robbed. He was, but not as bad as they could have.
Your right, that's not the GGG i expected. I thought GGG would improve upon his Murata perfomance, but he fought careful through the first 8, then fought more like GGG after that. GGG lost that fight by not fighting enough. I truly feel that was a fight he could have won. He had the size, power and chin to do it but just didn't. That being said, it was still closer than what it seemed.
GGG got the benefit of the doubt against Jacobs and Chenko too. You got to beat the champion clearly in most cases.
The Murata fight is in reality the fight that told everybody that GGG was old and would get beat up in the 3rd fight. I thought the same thing after the Murata fight, but like i said i gave him too much credit. When your whole career is based off of your best defense is your best offense, in most cases you can get old overnight in any fight.
GGG was the champion vs Canelo both times. The jacobs fight was close but clearly GGG won. He had Jacobs down in the 4th and hurt later, but a very tough fight. I had Golovkin winning vs Chenko too, but extremly close and i dont argue with those that feel otherwise.
Nobody thought of Canelo as the true champ. Canelo should have stripped of his lineal title when he gave up his WBC belt to avoid GGG for a year and a half, and GGG beat Canelo in the first fight clearly and should have got the lineal title then. The crooks know what they are doing.
Maybe, but the fact was going into Canelo-Ggg 1 that Canelo was the lineal Champion. The first fight was actually the closest of the 3, i had it an even 114-114 draw in the 1st encounter. But it was close enough that i wouldnt argue anybody giving it to GGG....After rewatching it about 5 times!!!
I watched it more and had it 9-3 Golovin or 8-3-1 Golovkin. Had GGG winning the 2nd as well and had the third 7-5 Canelo.
I dont give even rounds unless theres a point deduction. Scoring is based off of a 10 point must system, giving 10-10 rounds is something i dont do.
The way i see it, if a round is so close you dont know who to give it to, it's a 10 /10 round. Why give the fight to one fighter over a round that close, rather than flip a coin so to speak.
