Who would you prefer. Rubio is tough as nails. It will be GGG's first test imo.

Rubio tweeted that the fight has been made, haven't seen an official confirmation.

Not exactly the most exciting fight, but of the Top 10 at MW he might be one of very few feasible options. Rubio is durable, having only been stopped once in the past 10 years. Rubio was considered as a possible opponent for Cotto.

I wanted to see GGG unify his title against Soliman, but it appears Soliman found an easier route with Taylor. Martin Murray would have been an awesome opponent, but his ability to travel to the U.S. has been in question.

GGG won't stop him. 12 round beatdown. Possible brain damage.

If Pavlik can stop Rubio, Golovkin will stop him.

Rubio can crack like a mothafuka and probably beat most top 10 ranked fighters without much trouble imo.
This is better than stevens & proksa combined for me.

exactly this is the next best fight compared to cotto. GGG would of slaughtered solimon. Will see if Robert Garcia can come up with a game plan for GGG

Rubio basically only lost to the top guys in the division. He is tough, has a solid chin and have KO power in his punch (which are straight forward, not looping). Great fight coming up if you ask me.

Rubio also stopped Lemieux (when Lemieux was 21...). So it is sending a message to one of the top gun in the division.

Rubio is a tough guy in the mold of a Brandon Rios. IMO, he doesn't have the skills to beat GGG. He is also very slow. Like others have said, he will be game but is ultimately in for a beatdown. He wasn't remotely competitive with Pavlik and I think Ouma beat him pretty convincingly (I vaguely remember that fight, I think Rubio hurt Ouma in the 1st and then got thoroughly outboxed).

    GGG mid-rounds stoppage.

rubio is **** and tailor made for golovkin. slow plodder chavez jr had no trouble cutting off the ring against rubio and landing that slow telegraphed right hand repeatedly . common sense would dictate that rubio gets brutally stopped at some point in the fight, after getting pinned on the ropes and taking hundreds of hard shots to the head.

Rubio would be GGG toughest test to date, GGG would probably win but Rubio has a very high KO rate 51 in total, there's always an outside chance Rubio could pull off an upset.
His corner threw the towel in against a prime Pavlik, he wasn't KO'd.
