Truth is every fighter deserves a tune up, especially when you're like Canelo who has a stacked resume. Golovkin just had a tune up fight, tune up for what, another tune up fight? Lmao! Fact is Golovkin only has to real challengers on his resume, and only one win against a real challenger, why does he insist of taking easy fights. Hard to be a GGG fan.
bu...bu....but Steve Rolls! That's not what you were saying then Funny how iSalty can always bend further to take in more of ginger's rod.
I agree. Which is why he wants to beat up Pednelo a third time. But I guess Pednelo is so beat up and abused from the last time he doesn't want anymore of that GGG thunder
I've maintained that GGGs resume is full of tune up type fighters and he needs to have more urgency in fighting top fighters if he wants to have a legacy worth remembering. He took on a terrible opponent in Roles, a tune up fight, for another tune up fight? Whack.
What would Canelo be tuning up for here, exactly? Isn't he a world champion who just recently fought? Why would he require a tune up suddenly? I don't think Munguia is particularly good as an opponent for either guy or overly terrible but you had a window here to show you're more than an unremitting Canelo sycophant but blew it.
Tune up/Stay busy fight You must be a bit new to boxing. Top Fighters take tune up fights all the time, asking for them to only fight elite fighters only is too much, and takes a massive toll on them. If you were a long time boxing fan you would know that a tune up fight in between a top fight is the norm.
They will start printing children's books with the theme "Where's Ginger?" instead of "Where's Wally?" anytime soon now.
We all want to see our favorite fighters compete against formidable opposition, at least those of us who like the sport over the fighter. Golovkin chose an extremely weak tune up and if he does end up fighting Munguia a JrMw it will be two in a row. GGG doesn't have time to be wasting on these type of fights. He has five left with DAZN, possibly his career, no one wants to see him against overmatched opposition. It must be frustrating being a GGG , expecting good fights but getting these BS fights.
I remember when Oscar was all "it could be a trilogy!" He's gone strangely quiet lately, after he saw what GGG did to his boy.
