I love GGG but I think we might be looking at a mirage...

I’ve seen it too many times. Sugar Ray looked in great shape but grew old overnight and got pummeled by a flabby non puncher in Camacho.
Ali looked in good shape but got pummeled by his sparring partner.
Holmes was a great fighter but he shouldn’t have been the only man to stop Ali.
Terry Norris was the worst as he turned old overnight with no punch resistance at the early age of 30.
He shouldn’t have a knock out loss to Keith Mullins.

All of these fighters turned out to be mirages of their former self’s.

There have been worrying signs with GGG in my opinion.
I don’t think he has great stamina anymore and he hates body shots...
I don’t think being out of the ring so long will do him any favours.

What helped make GGG great in the past was activity. He would fight 3 or 4 times a year but since he started fighting just once a year, his performance has struggled and I won’t be surprised to see a mirage turn up...

I am a big fan of GGG but I agree

Lucky for him, Murata likes to eat punches and trade

    GGG catches him late
