Murray is a solid top 10 guy As was Macklin. As was Geale. No disrespect to any of them, who are all legit world-class fighters, but they top off as B+ fighters. Solid all-around guys without elite tools or skills. GGG is an A fighter, maybe even an A+, though we won’t be able to tell that until he faces another elite guy. Macklin and Geale didn’t have the tools to stand up to GGG. Murray won’t either. GGG is good enough that he will just chew through B+ guys. They don’t have anything to seriously threaten him. When he faces another elite fighter… well, then things get interesting.
I think Murray's style and size will see him into latter rounds. Still think 9-12 ref jumps in, but Murray makes a good account of himself based on others that have fought GGG.
Murray will Batter him when GGG sees the nut job laughing at his punches he will not wanna be taking them him self Murray 4 rounds
Murray is better than fighters like Quillin, Jacobs. I also believe that at middleweight Murray is more of a challenge than Cotto
By most accounts, Murray was the one who destroyed Martinez to the point that Cotto could even make the fight, much less win it. Most ppl who KNOW how to score a fight also considered him the victor over Felix Sturm, who AT THAT TIME, was the consensus, #1 or #2 MW. Add wins over Bursak, Khomitsky X2, and Naciemento, and Murray has one of the better top 10 resumes. His problem being his two controversial NON-wins against Sturm and Martinez. Had he rightfully got the nod in those two fights, and the world might be considering GGG the underdog, as most ESB ******s though Sergio was a favorite in that mythical matchup. Point being.....Murray is a top 3 MW. He'd beat the snot out of Cotto, KO Taylor in an Arkansas second, and would outpoint both Soliman and the winner of Lee/Korobov. And GGG will do his typical destruction of Murray. Then on to whichever other idiot has the ball to get his cranium cracked.:deal
Murray lucked out in getting a post Chavez still injured version of Martinez, and even then couldn't outbox him and rightfully lost due to lack of activity, Murray is an overrated bum who looked average against a badly diminished Sergio, and Sturm, GGG will dominate and stop him in 4.
