Obviously watched the fight Saturday night and obviously saw Murray being outclassed for the most part. Murray did take a pounding for most of the fight and he was never going to win the fight, but did anyone else think in terms of the moment the stoppage was very premature.

I know there was no real reason to keep the fight going, but Murray had lasted that long that surely there is an argument that the fight could have been allowed to continue at that time. He had only took the one clean punch at the time of the stoppage and it was to the top of the head, meaning that it would have only really affected his balance and not necessarily hurt him.

What do you guys think? I thought it was premature and I don't like the idea of stopping a fight because someone looks very unlikely to win a fight.

The stoppage was right, should have been stopped earlier IMO.

I think it was right, his head was snapping back and he didn't know what was coming. The only other option was to give him a standing count as he was out on the ropes. I don't doubt Murray would have tried to continue and I was gutted for him not making it the final bell, he deserved it.

I've always liked Murray and I have huge respect for him now. Hopefully this fight hasn't taken too much out of him and he can continue his career and get the title he deserves.
