Kind of an odd matchup to begin with.

I like Oosthuizen, but he's still in the prospect stage and getting down to 165 when your 6'4 against Golovkin....

Might be a better matchup down the line.

hahahahahhaha..that's right. Someone mentioned Ishida as a possible opponent and he might go for it like the other Japanese boxer.

I think it'll end of being Rubio. Seems he's the only top 20 near that wieght who'll fight anyone anywhere anytime.
Sad though as I'd hate to see him starched.:-(

Disappointing, but at the end of the day, I really didn't want to see GGG move up in weight just to stay active. HBO has some funny ass practices when it comes to approving fights though.

They could always keep the fight and put it on the Danny Garcia undercard instead, as long as that doesn't **** off HBO.

Yes, GGG-Rodriguez would be acceptable and would make sense from HBO's perspective.

Golden Boy wouldn't be crazy about Golovkin completely overshadowing Quillin on their own card. Especially since Quillin's using "nobody knows who Golovkin" as the main justification for his disinterest in the fight (this of course is despite the fact that more people saw Golovkin-Proksa than Quillin-N'Dam )

The ratings for GGG-Proksa were horrible. HBO wants him in with someone who people know. They are obviously looking to build him up as a B side to Ward in a year or two.
