Pavlik would have the height/reach but i just think GGG is better. He would get around Pavlik's jab and once he can do that, it's over as Pavlik is pretty much a 1-2 guy from the outside. GGG is faster, can fight on the inside and would rip Pavlik apart on the inside.
LOL A lot of hype on this kid but come on don't get carried alway, Especially when GGG hasn't beaten an elite like Taylor, Time will tell but for now I pick Pavlik.
I was just thinking about this while reading the GGG/Martinez prime thread. Around a month ago there was a thread on here about this same senario and almost 70% of the posters had Pavlik. I laughed then and am laughing even harder now.
And Jt did what before his fights with Pavlik? Go the distance with Ouma and Spinks? Do you honestly think those guys would last 12 against GGG?
Beat a ATG in Hopkins not once but twice, As for Ouma and Spinks, they are better then any fighter GGG has face till now, not saying they beat him, but clearly better.
I'm not gonna knock Jt. He's one of my all time favs. And i actually think he matches up better against GGG given his superior size and hand speed. But this is about Pavlik and GGG and i don't think Pavlik's styke matches up well with GGG. Once GGG gets rid of Pavlik's jab, it's over.
Even though GGG beat ouma years ago, he's not as good as a fighter he already tko'd. Man, you're 2 for 2 on stupidity. TEXANS:-(
Pavlik has too much size. Pavlik's pop would keep GGG from totally committing. Pavlik majority decision.
All can say is that if Golvkin fights a Prime Pavlik the with as much aggression as he has shown as of late, his chin will be tested in a real way. Pavlik was one dimensional, but the guy had sick power for someone with his frame.
