If he could beat Iran Barkely, I just don't see where GGG is that much more of a challenge.

Dangerous fight for Duran at that stage of his career and at that weight. Whoever gets caught first loses.

Barkley beat Hearns twice mate. He was a beast of a middleweight.

The Duran of the Hagler fight is a better version than the one that beat Barkley imo I think that version of middleweight Duran beats GGG comfortably. Durans too slick for GGG.

my all-time two favorite fighters. Triple G has too good a jab, power & chin at 160 for Duran to deal with for 12 rounds. it would be a helluva fight while it lasted though. Hands of Stone was not a backing up kinda guy.

This was already done in Classic, and it was a good thread.

Basically, Golovkin is too big for Duran, was the general opinion. This size difference is accentuated by the modern weigh in system that allows guys from essentially higher weights to boil down and fight lower.

But if there's anybody that could pull a rabbit from the hat it would be Duran. He was an exceptional infighter, and GGG has looked his least impressive when going toe-to-toe with tough guys up close. That said, Golovkin still won by emphatic KO under those circumstances.

It would be a tremendous fight, and frankly I almost wouldn't want to see it because one of my favourites would have to lose, probably Duran.
