GGG vs Ryoto Murata December 29th

I think GGG will win a 7-5/8-4 decision, but there is some chance of an upset: GGG is old and Murata is a bit better than people think IMHO.

 

GGG win by UD. Charlo beats him currently.

 

I want GGG to KO Munguia next and then think about retirement.

 

GGG needs to get more active or just retire.

This isnt a terrible fight but GGG wins quite easily.

 

He's the perfect foil to give Golovkin a signature look good performance.....................if Golovkin hasn't aged too much. That's one reason his team has pushed and pushed for this fight to be made

 

Covid by stoppage a few weeks before the fight because that's how a lot of 2021 has gone.

I've said it before: Murata is a strong hard hitting fighter with a high workrate. He keeps chugging along and never stops. If Golovkin has slipped Murata is the kind of fighter that will be able to exploit it. If Golovkin hasn't slipped then I think his bigger power and better boxing nous will see him land some crunching shots that take Murata out by the mid rounds. Murata's defence isn't the best and he can be hit.

Sorry but Murata absolutely sucks. He’s 1-1 with N’Dam and Rob Brant, the latter of whom got dominated in every round against Janibek before he got stopped.

He’s been inactive since December 2019, so by the time this fight happens he’ll have been out of the ring for over 2 years. He’s a paper champion who only got upgraded from the fake Regular belt.

Even at his old age, GGG destroys Murata in a completely one sided fight. This is a weak as hell fight, but I don’t blame GGG for taking an easy fight, big Japanese payday and looks good on paper because Murata lucked himself into the legit WBA belt so it’s technically a unification. Perfect very-low risk, high reward fight for GGG.
