GGG vs. Spence could end up being a Fight Of The Century.

Errol Spence has a leaky defense and an untested chin. The shots Algieri and Bundu landed on Spence will not be survivable shots coming from Golovkin.

Golovkin has the usual light bulb glass fragile chin and Spence would find it early after folding Little g with brutal body shots.

This weekend will give a good indication of what GGG does with the current crop of welters.
Needless to say, it won't even be very competitive.

 

As usually the case, the only way this fight happens is if welterweight Spence agrees to balloon up to 160 and fight Golovkin at MW. Everyone knows Golovkin won't agree to gain or lose 1 pound to make the fight happen.
So, this fight is no more than a fantasy match-up that will never ever happen, unless 4 years from now Spence migrants up to MW to destroy an already exposed Golovkin.

 

Spence is a massive welterweight who should be fighting at 154/160, but his youth will allow him to drain down for a significant size advantage every time out. Terence Crawford is another guy who be at 147/154.

 

GEE is toooo OLD, Won't be around for Spence at his best.

 

I agree. And there's also bigger fights for him N at 168 vs Zurdo, Jack, DeGale, Groves, Abe, Sturm Chudinov and even as high as CW fights vs the best LHWs.

No chance he's hanging around at 160 unless he gets ol Yeller in there soon and sets up PPVs vs the PBC LMW/MWs.

His division is so dead , people have to pit him against Welter weights. ffs.

Since his followers are only casuals around for the GGG show , they wouldn't dare expect him to go up against guys two divisions north. Its very sad to look at.

GGG should be facing 168 and 175 pounders. Not 147'ers

 

Golovkin was willing to move up to 168 to fight Froch and Chavez Jr., but both men ducked him.

 

You can't be ducked by fighters who are in retirement. I suppose you'll want him to fight Kelly Pavlik next
