Why you all are thinking that Ward will outbox GGG? Man Ward was defeated 5 times in 120 amateur fights Triple G's record is 385-5. Also there is big power difference. I think that GGG will KO Ward in 160 for sure. At 168 60//40 chance for GGG.

Ward hasn't lost since he was 12 and Triple G had a longer amateur career. Since then Ward has won a gold medal, cleaned out his division unlike Triple G.(no fault of his own) Fact remains he's bigger than Triple G, is a slick counter puncher with elite boxing skills. Ward would win a UD.

I'm leaning the same way, I'd like to see how GGG gets on against a top 5 SMW before Ward

I have GGG, I wasnt that impressed with Ward against Froch and I doubt he would get away with the head butting with GGG.

Ward beats him. Faster, better footwork, superior technique and boxing ability.

As good as Golovkin is, he is easy to hit and hasn't faced anyone anywhere near as good as Ward. Ward has shown he is effective tying opposition up which will negate much of Golovkin's work when he is in range.

Golovkin of course has a punchers chance.

    Mancini makes perfect sense.

Strong punchers with good chins and skills will walk through movers until they corner them and finish them; it takes an equally big puncher with a good chin to force them to change their strategy.

I don't think Ward has what it takes to get respect from GGG.

GGG is far better than Bute but this is exactly the same hype Bute got, fact is GGG still didnt beat anyone really good, Ward beats him wide UD, but hype does its job again!

Let's see him in against Froch or JCC before we even consider him worthy of being in the ring with Ward.

nobody can really say. ggg is barely breaking a sweat vs the guys willing to fight him and ward is very good but he hasnt seperated himself from the pack like ggg is doing. ward will have to walk through hell to win this one. sure, ggg hasnt faced any monsters, but it looks like its gonna take a monster to give him a fight.

GGG drains fighters from their energy like no other.

Ward has shown to be vulnerable in the later stages vs Froch and Kessler, and had to resort to headbuts in the second example.

He might do the stick and move for a while vs GGG, but after round 6, it's his ass.

That's not true, Froch and Kessler's boxing skills are just as good or better than GGG's. Trip G's fame is solely based on his knockout ratio. Ward has been in the ring with some heavy hitters that brought just as much power to the fray as Trip G will bring. Ward can deal with Trip G's power but the question is can Trip G handle his because he will be receiving a lot of it. Ward buzzed iron chinned Froch and stopped Dawson so it's a fact that he has good pop and in regular doses will put a fighter down. Trip G is easy to hit. Ward might stop him.
