GGG will deserve little credit for KO'ing Eubank Jr

The casuals here in the UK are fully on board too.

"No one has seen a style like Eubank Jr's *fist emoji*"

"That guy is an animal, no one beats him!"

Mostly because he was on PPV recently and the Sky production team seemed to have erased the Saunders fight from their minds.

If Eubank Jr is the only one with ball.s to fight GGG how is this GGG'S fault? Since everyone here follows boxing then everyone has seen or heard recent videos where Jacobs said he won't be ready for GGG until 18 months. Same for Saunders. And the all famous Canelo drama and the belt. Not until just yesterday you hear Jacobs and Saunders once again saying they want Golovkin now that this fight with Eubanks is a done deal.

Some people just hate GGG so much that they refuse to see.

Eubanks should of fought Jacobs wba title when he won the eliminator against Spike O Sullivan.Fighting Jacobs would of been the more sensible route, would have stood a better chance winning that one. Then if he won,Golovkin would have been the obvious next opponent.

Firstly Jr has come on a bundle since Saunders, leaps and bounds.

Jr was thrown in to that Saunders fight to early in his career considering his lack experience as a pro and amateur. Gave away the first 5 rounds and poured it on to lose a very close SD against a man who is now a world champion.

As for being a British champion, well what's the next step up? European? Then a world title fight? Michael Soro was European champion so what is the point?

Maybe a top 10 ranked opponent would have been ideal but if an opportunity like this comes along why not take it?

Eubank Sr was 24-0 when he fought Nigel Benn and all he had won in terms of belts was a WBC international title and his best win before Benn was bang average, probably Anthony Logan or Hugo Corti.

We will not know just how good Jr is until he is in with a world class opponent, to write him off as a "bum" is very premature in my opinion.

N17, great writeup but do you agree that Brook cannot be defended any further if the Vargas fight does not come into fruition. 2 years and he's literally wasted it. 100%. :-(

    :good

Brooks a disgrace in my opinion, I certainly won't defend him, regardless if Vargas is made or not I still do not think Vargas is a big enough name or a big enough fight.

Brook and Hearn have promised all sorts, they talked Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bradley, Thurman and we got JoJo Dan, Kevin Bizier and Frankie Gavin, it's a complete joke.

I support British fighters, I will bang the drum for them but they have to do their side of things and at least try to walk the walk, Brook has had good one win in his entire career, Porter and that was far too long ago to still be dining out on.

 we are laughing but it's true.

Jo Jo Dan, Awful, truly awful, I watch a lot of boxing but if he walked past me in the street I wouldn't recognise him.

Bizier wouldn't win a British title, I think he'd struggle to win a southern area from what I saw against Brook and he lost to Jo Jo Dan TWICE.

Frankie Gavin, I have no words :rofl

Wilder's last 3 opponents were pretty ****, but they are much better than Brook's last 3

At least Molina ko'd Adamek and Duhaupas Ko'd Helenius. And Spzilka is pretty decent

I like Brook, but he's gotta step up fast.

Don't forget Brook hasn't even got someone as great as Dustin 'The Worm' Nichols on his resume.

:huh That's strange, because I remember people saying that Eubank Jr was one of the guys that would beat / give GGG a run for his money. Now he's a bum? He might not be the baddest guy on the planet, but he's a solid fighter. Imho.

They don't need to erase the BJS fight, he did enough to prove himself in it. If you watch the tape its not hard to believe that his loss was more to do with what he didn't do, then what BJS did. (Even if you have a different opinion it doesn't mean everyone thinks like you)

That's not really accurate, the only reason it seems like that is because the CEJ fans have more people to banter with now.

Its not hard to believe CEJ has a lot of fans, he even has more twitter fans than GGG.

GGG vs BJS would not attract half as much interest as CEJ vs GGG because neither of those fighters have the charisma of CEJ or the marketability.

GGG is a terrific fighter with a fan friendly style, but barely speaks english.

BJS is also an excellent fighter but his style isn't fan friendly and he kind of comes off as a less interesting mini Tyson Fury.
