Will you say the same thing about Canelo since he is "preparing " to move to a division that has no one special?

Canelo already made a name for himself at 154 with good names. Yes if he moves to 160 and fights and beats the likes of Saunders, CEJ and Jacobs it won't mean much to me either. I would pick most of the top guys at 154 to beat all of them as well.

Golovkin should get 3 warm up fights prior to fighting a champion at 168....

The Saint knows his stuff and he is in career best form.
He is barely better than a washed up Murray so that must make Degale pretty average if you ask me.

Add to the fact CEJ made him quit in sparring?

His whole career has been pure warm-ups.

When he goes to 168 he should first drag up a blown up 154lb top 100 fighter.

Then he should fight a top 15 168lb fighter.

Then prior to the title challenge he should again drag up a top 20 160lber.

Then onto a title challenge....that's daring to be great y'all....

This is way too rational and unbiased post for these boards - sort your act out!

If there is no fighter good enough to give GGG competitive fight at 160 - well, how is that his fault? He is just too good for the division. I would never critisise a fighter for wanting to clear out his division and unify all titles

But if he stays in a weak division never beating anyone of note and unifying against trash then how great is he? Does Kostya Tsyzu ring a bell? Here's a guy who stayed and ruled over a weak division ended up losing to a crack head in Vince Philips never avenging the loss and in his last fight quit on his stool against Hatton. His best win was Zab Judah. He could have dared to be great and moved up to WW but he didn't. That's fine he's in the HOF for it but he's not a true ATG either and can't be mentioned in the same class. I see the similar fate for GGG if he follows that path.

The only true measure of greatness is HOF. ATG is just a speculative thing that boxing fans argue about. Look at guys like De La Hoya who jumped divisions - there are plenty of fans here that don't think he is an ATG either. If you clean up a division and unify it, that's a thing you can not discpute. Do you really think a win over Degale will make GGG any greater in the eyes of most fans?

I have said, that Eubanks would have to give a good account of himself for the supposed, not finalized fight to get ggg any credit. It's because CEJ is not proven yet, he may prove himself or he may show his level to not being above other ggg opponents. This isn't a sure thing for ggg by any stretch of the imagination.

Pimp C has been degrading Tszyu since I mentioned Floyd never fought him and cherry picked his way through 140.

Since then Tszyu was a poor champion in a weak division, the same division that Floyd was never the man in which is kind of ironic.

Fact is Tszyu would have been one of the best names on his resume if Floyd had of won.
