Fighting two eliminators to face Gatti was more important than trying to fight the Real champ @ 140 I guess. :think

GGG beating DeGale would legitimize some of the hype and be good for his legacy as he would be 1 moving up in weight and 2 be fighting the best fighter he's ever fought who's legit.

Lastly I disagree. If you think a guy like Kostya just because he made the HOF is in the same class as guys like Duran or SRL who are there to you're crazy. There's levels to this and those two are elite ATG fighters.

PBF was never the man because the man who made Tszyu quit in Hatton wouldn't fight him at 140.:deal Did PBF cry sit around and claim to be ducked like GGG? No he moved up to bigger and better things. Also Tszyu wouldn't have been one of his best names people would have just said he was past his prime and PBF beat a shot Kostya so miss me with that ****.

Tszyu was the champion when Mayweather was competing at 140 if only for 12 months but at no time was Mayweather "the man" at 140.

And yes Mayweather moved up to beat 2 of Tszyu's previous victims and then beat one of the worst champions in recent history in Baldomir.

I'm not going down the road of Mayweather dared to be great, Mayweather would have won easily, Mayweather retired undefeated.

The fact remains he faced Corley, Brussels and Gatti at 140 and none of these are on Tszyu's level.

Again PBF was a HBO fighter and Zoo was Showtime so you tell me how this fight even happens? Let me guess blame PBF right?:rofl These two didn't warrant a cross-promotions PPV back then neither were big enough draws for it.

You are leaving out one very important fact. PBF was a HBO fighter and Zoo was Showtime, they never had a chance to fight.:deal That right there makes your point moot.

No that about PBF fighting two fights at 140 before fighting Gatti. a fight between PBF and Zoo could have never happened due to networks.

Neither fighter was a big name at that point 8 agree Tszyu only sold in Australia and Floyd didn't go to the next level until DLH.

My opinion is that after 135 Floyd took the path of least resistance until he got to DLH.

Tszyu was old by the time Floyd fought at 140.

If he did fight him, you'd just say that he fought Tszyu past his best.

He was a very good fighter, but the door was open for him to go to 147 and he chose not to. That's hurts his legacy a little bit.

That's right. Talking about different television networks Golovkin is a HBO fighter and Lara fights on Showtime. Yet you GGG haters claim that GGG ducks Lara.

Yes. Moving up to beat deGale is more impressive than beating the type of guys that Golovkin has been fighting at MW.
