They’re gonna need smelling salts for that man. He gon need em. He will be flat on his back around the 8th staring at the ceiling.

GGG will taste canvas several times in this fight and his mandible will no longer be the same afterwards.

If GGG is shot to **** perhaps and that would be the only reason Canelo stops him. Past prime GGG already beat him twice.

I doubt it. Been watching GGG for his last fights and i thought the same after Murata, but G can take a punch downstairs and upstairs. I think Canelo beats him clear this time but im doubting a KO. IN fact i wont bet on it.

I don’t think GGG will actually touch the canvas but I do think it will either be a late corner or referee stoppage after GGG accumulates damage over the course of 9 or so rounds.

It's interesting, the possibility of a corrupt stoppage is definitely on the table this time. Probably wasn't taken seriously before because Canelo wasn't KO-ing bigger guys yet.
But everyone is talking about Golovkin taking all this damage and needing to be 'saved'. Because he's so old and shot etc.
It's a narrative of justifying some kind of fake mercy stoppage.

This actually happened in the Groves-Froch first fight where everyone was 'worried' about Groves and so they stopped it early ultimately. And then Foster and Froch were justifying it for Groves' health and whatever.

They could absolutely do this to Golovkin at the first sign of any trouble. Or even just the appearance of him taking 'too many', despite not being properly hurt.

GGG getting stopped is certainly a possibility at his age. The man has been a consummate professional fighter and champion and I'm sure he knows what he has to do to win especially at his age. I don't think he can pull it off and if he can't get to Canelo and hurt him early he's going to lose because as everyone in this part of the galaxy knows he can't win a decision.

I can see Canelo going for a dramatic KO victory this time. He needs to erase the memory of the Bivol fight and nothing does that like a KO. GGG is a tough customer even though he’s old. He knows he needs a KO to win this one but I’m not sure he has the gas in the tank to pull it off. Canelo is young and still prime. I’m just hoping for a good fight and hope the judges don’t decide. A Hagler Hearns type slugfest would be nice. Man I miss those days when two top fighters would stand toe to toe. Probably shortened their lives and careers but it was something to see.

A proper KO is out of the question, it will most likely be a referee or corner stoppage with GGG on wobbly legs.
