The way I see it GGG has just fought 2 dangerous opponents back to back and is already past his prime, i cant fault him for wanting a soft touch. His body needs a break from intense training camps but at the same time too much inactivity is bad for him.
Murata is a good fight. This is not a soft touch. Anyone of the current mandatory opponents is a great fight.
He should fight Liam Smith, Khan and Cheeseburger Jr back to back. Those are the sorts of opponents that make great champions, without taxing the ol' bod too much.
well if the scores are shocking to you twice, surely thats telling you something about you? but i do hope he wins sure thing. i am no a canelo fan for sure but you sure are playing a bum tune saying someone who i a boxer is a coward AFTER having fought he guy once already.
The guy is a troll. He's on a roll today. He's one more ridiculous post away from being put on the Ignore Troll list.
Probably the same reason Pacquiao fought Horn in Brisbane. Being well paid. Charlos are both class, shame the Americans don't really get behind them.
GGG is the money man now If he can fight Murata for $5 million in Japan he will Vs Charlo for $2 million at most And I love Charlo. But dollars and make sense. Charlo, due to his lack of fan base, will have to grow his name. Murata is a gold medalist and they can fill a stadium in Japan.
Bingo. The way I see it, there's 5 options for GGG's next fight. Any of them come off, and there's no reason to complain: Canelo II (the obvious choice), BJS-Lemieux winner, or any of the three mandatories. Unification or satisfying mandatory obligations needs to be the priority in the short term. It'd be nice if one or two of those who miss out on GGG now fight each other, Jacobs, or Andrade in the mean time. There's plenty of great fights that can be lined up so long as the matchmaking isn't too safe.
GGG next logical fight is a rematch with Canelo, waiting more is not doing any favor on GGG who is in the decline. Next He could chose Murata Charlo, Sanders or maybe retirement.
