GGG would be a bigger test for floyd than canelo

If floyd beats canelo, which im expecting him to, a fight with GGG would be great! Yes hes a legit middleweight but the way I see it if floyd is fighting alvarez and ggg is basically the same size as him (if not slightly smaller in frame but taller) and willing to melt down to light middleweight, floyd should give him a fight. Whilst I do believe that Alvarez will give floyd some problems on 14th, ggg honestly has more experience (345-5 in the amatuers) and more tools to give mayweather all he can handle. I rekn going into the fight ggg would have better stamina, better pacing/workrate, better footwork especially for cutting off the ring, better ring generalship and better power. Only things alvarez may have a slight advantage over ggg is in the speed and combination punching department and well....fans lol. Intelligence and adaptability wise who really knows what these guys are capable of seeing as mayweather seems to be a sort of litmus test im sure we'll find out soon enough. Anyway what do you guys think? Who wins that fight? And if you dont think mayweather should fight him who would you prefer as a legit challenger to his p4p spot?

Not sure about that, GGG would have a greater chance of being picked off at range.

Meh, you never know, styles make fights and all that...

    Of course he would.

Golovkin would stretch Canelo out in a couple of rounds. And I can't see Floyd surviving against him either.

GGG is a MW what don't people understand about that? PBF really has no business at 154 that's his 5th weight class he's moved up enough.

At 154, Golovkin stops Floyd in 5.

    At 147, Golovkin UD win

If he can get down to 154 and not be hindered, Floyd leaves the ring on a stretcher

If Golovkin can make 154 without killing himself, he presents Mayweather with a stiffer challenge than Alvarez. That fight won't be happening though. It would make zero sense for Mayweather to take that fight. Mayweather didn't get to this point to start making stupid fights at age 36.

Completely understand that floyd is a natural welterweight and he has no business at 154 where hes not most comfortable but the reality is that he holds a light middleweight belt and hes campaigning there for the 3rd time now. What im saying is that ggg and alvarez are virtually the same size (in fact ggg sometimes even weighs less than him) so its really not out of the question seeing as he is already fighting a massive guy in canelo. Like mayweather himself said its skills not size that matter. Some of the best campaigned at weight classes they had no business in like jones vs ruiz but I guess they did it to show how great they are like floyd is doing now. Thats not to say he should be fighting ward or hopkins or anything ridiculous but since hes already fighting 154 tough fights why not again? Its not exactly gonna be comfortable for ggg either by any means seeing as his promoter said hell fight at 168 and 175 for the right fights.

From a size standpoint, Mayweather vs. GGG at 154 is a doable fight. Although, it must be point out that Golovkin is a bigger guy than Alvarez. However, it's probably never going to happen. Mayweather can make just as much, if not more, money fighting guys closer to his size.

GGG's the only fighter at 154 I'd pick over Floyd. That tells you what a H2H monster Floyd is that it would take a great middleweight with historically good punching power coming down in weight to best him. Personally, I'd not going to hold it against Floyd for not making that fight.

How many people would buy the PPV because of GGG? That tells you all you need to know about why the fight wouldn't happen. If I was Floyd? No way in hell would I jump in there with that prime strong hungry KO artist without every conceivable advantage. He'd have to come to 147, wear 10 oz gloves, and with an enormous ring for me to run around in. If not, then no fight. No casual knows who GGG is. He does **** ratings on HBO.(ad I love GGG. Fun style and great character as well)
