Exactly, what are you expecting people, Mayweather fighting the Klitsckos? GGG rehidratates us cruiserweight. GGG against Ward, that is something posible.

How about GGG vs Andre Ward at a catchweight of 165? Andre would dismantel him.

Golovkin - Ward is a fight very much in the pipeline. For all that, I'm a big Ward fan, and in the knowledge GGG will be fighting something like 15lbs lower, I still don't see it as a foregone conclusion.

FMJ knows enough not not to take on a boxer of Genas kinda ability at a weight disadvantage - Floyd would lose and badly.

I still have Ward winning but really need to see him active again before making a solid decision. Ward - Golovkin is a wishlist kinda fight for this era, but, of course, GGG needs to prove his credentials first.

Golovkin takes out Floyd? No argument from me.

Golovkin is a master at cutting off the ring, and he also has lightning-quick reflexes. He never takes his eyes off the prize, and thus is one of the few fighters today that could capitalize on those tiny, fleeting little openings that Floyd sometimes has in his defense.

Even a 147 lb Golovkin takes Floyd out.

    ---------------------

Ward? Same deal, except Ward might be able to get inside and rough Golovkin up, like he did to Dawson. I wouldn't bet on that fight.

Well, kinda, 'cept GGG won't make '47 I think. He walks and fights lower than 'Nelo or some of the other big LMWs but I don't think he makes 147. 154 he could make, and for the money fights and prestige, he will, but he needs to base himself higher I think.

Why don't we put him in with GGG,then Ward, Kovalev and a farewell bout against Wladimir?

Well, I suspect sarcasm may be involved in the post, but GGG's the only fighter of those listed who has actually said he will fight at 154. Floyd can't take it anyway due to the cold war, but I think the poll should give a reasonable consensus...

You can't realistically attack a guy(not saying you are) who was a SFW during his pro career to go in with a guy who realistically will peak at 168.
This is the first proper LMW that Floyd will have fought and I suspect, the last.
It's not as black and white as saying GGG will go down to 154.Most guys at 160 would try that if it meant a career high payday.
GGG-Ward is the realistic fight for hardcore fans after this one. It's all well and good GGG talking about coming down but you could argue that he should have to have a few fights there before fighting Floyd.
The whole thing just doesn't add up or make much sense, and I'm not trying to be shitty about it mate,it's just how it is.
And for that reason,I can't give an honest vote on this one.

    Of course not.

I said / meant that a 147 lb VERSION of GGG still beats Floyd.

Ggg and a healthy martinez are the only two guys who could get to 154 and give floyd hell. That fight won't happen tho.
