At 160 Golovkin would be the favorite, at 168 Ward would be the favorite, at 164 it'd be more of a pick'em.
Of course which is why GGG his team nor his fans want anything to do with Ward. They partied like it was 1999 when Ward moved up to 175.:deal
Why are we talking about a potential match up with fighters 2 divisions apart from one another? Could Ward even make 168 these days?
I think that Ward could but probably kill himself doing it. I don't fancy GGG beating the pants off Ward only because Ward was a stick of beef jerky. I feel any fighter winning because of weight games is engaging in a tainted win.
3 clean rds. Though 3 may as well be 0. You don't win a fight on 3 rds unless you can pull a rabbit out the hat in the 12th like he did v Taylor. :think
Bika gave Ward all he could handle, and Golovkin would be much harder than that. Hardest fight of his career no doubt.
Yeah, I'm on the side who says this would be an easy fight. Notice how every Ward fan really wanted this fight, as well as Ward himself. ggg didn't want his 0 taken because he clearly ducked.
every ward fan wanted that fight...just like they all want the kova fight its the lil g fans that keep hoping ward pulls out of kovalev...theyd rather that than have the fight go off...cause they know theres a good chance ward wins....and that would devastate them
I'm a certified GGG fan boy FYI At 168 Ward takes a points decision. I think it'd be pretty close but clear. Ward is a strong guy and spoils really well; I don't think GGG would be big or strong enough to combat that. Technically, although Golovkin is excellent Ward is a better technician, though of course the power is with GGG. Maybe Ward gets hurt kinda bad during the fight but he'd last it out to a 116-112 I reckon. We need to remember, losing to Ward is no blemish really. All that said, I wouldn't ever say GGG has no chance either, just that Ward is favorite in this.
