I think Lee, Quillin, and GGG all punish Canelo. For once Canelo would be fighting guys his own size.
He doesn't have to be fast - he simply has to possess a jab and the ability to move his feet and head. Golovkin has those talents in spades.
Not hard to hit,not enough pop to hurt or stop a 35 year old true ww with a history of chin issues? Plods around the ring and still got outworked (punch stats)? Canelo should stay as far from GGG for as long as possible and hope GGG starts to slip due to age or moves up to another weight. I see getting battered by GGG and his corner finally having no choice but to throw in the towel.
your right.nobody beats the money boy on points.just ask lara who i had winning by 3 points.golden boys golden goose starts the bout with a 4 point lead.
Yes it was competitive , Lemieux was dangerous , throwing a decent number of punches , with one shot power to knock down anyone at 160. They might lose every round but still be a threat , as GGG does take punches after he has taken control . Lemieux wasn't a whipped dog , cowering and running , every round he was throwing with bad intentions right up till the fight was stopped. Lemieux landed a decent right hand at 1:35 of Round 8 , then 6 seconds later the ref stopped the fight , perhaps a bit early after watching it again . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB5R1Pba584 Plenty of good fights at 160 , who wouldn't want to see Canelo - Lemieux , or Willie Monroe fight either guy . GGG isn't god , he is coming up on 34 years of age and takes risks .
