GGG would have also been out if Canelo hit him with the shot he ko'd Khan with.

Canelo didn't really punch Cotto with his full power. Canelo vs Cotto was pretty much a sparring session compared to some of Canelo's other performances. Cotto also didn't win rounds early vs Canelo like Khan did so Canelo didn't have any real need to try to get him out of there. He didn't need to go all seek-and-destroy on Cotto like he did on Khan.

You right about Khan’s biggest problem, he runs on to the end of punches creating the most spectacular KO’s in the history of boxing lol. In fairness, that only happened twice, and the first time it happened he just came off being pretty clearly robbed vs Peterson, and with that fresh in his mind was really trying to put rounds in the bank vs Garcia, and Garcia timed him. That’s when Khan gets into trouble, when he tries too hard to win rounds clearly, and steps in too fast without thinking.

Against Canelo I think the problem was two fold, one that Khan started to tire a bit, and started to become too predictable, that combined with Canelo learning his rhythm and was able to set up a devastating punch.

I think it’s opponents punch speed that causes Khan problems. It’s punches that he doesn’t see coming KO’s him cold. Even Prescott, in that fight, it was right at the beginning, and he didn’t even have time to get into the fight.

Like Garcia isn’t known as the biggest puncher, but he threw a punch at an odd angle that he didn’t see coming. Vs Maidana, Khan was able to take some big punches from Maidana because although Maidana has power, he doesn’t have much in the way of punch speed. It’s when Kahn runs into punches, like you said at the end of punches, that he gets hurt.

Despite these devastating KO’s, I still believe Khan’s chin is not as bad as advertised. I think it’s just that his style combined with perfectly timed shots have resulted in 3 bad KOs. I believe if Khan were better able to manage his stamina and concentration he could avoid being tagged like that in the future. I also think Khan gets overconfident during a fight when he’s winning and he starts to go on autopilot and runs into big punches.

Khan has the biggest glass jaw in boxing and he was outweighed by who knows how much. This is a very stupid thread

If you can't tell the difference in fight then you're a lost soul that can't ever truly be found. the sound of clean shots landing tells you who has mediocre power and who has insane power

He has great power, ask any fighter he's ever been in the ring with. watch him train, dude uses the same gloves, bags, balls and mitts as everyone else.

Khan also had a pin from the car crash.. it's out now.. and ready for welter dominance..

It literally affected his chin like Tua's balance.. helps him with his chin and power..

Durability when it strikes something.. obviously power is also technique and can be separate from chin.. but superman's force is his durability.. and super speed.. = power

Chinsters are wide like a square.. SHWs are often line tall for their overall size..
