Alvarez is an overhyped average fighter. He has stamina problems, been rocked by lightweights, and has looked troubled against two real 154 pounders.

GGG would take him out in two rounds. Alvarez is no better than Rubio.

Alvarez can be outboxed fairly easily and he can't cut the ring off.

Erislandy Lara was hitting Alvarez easily so what happens when a natural 160 power puncher like Golovkin lands on him.

It makes me wonder what crack people are smoking when they rate Alvarez as a good fighter. He's distinctly average at best.

GGG knocks Cotto Canelo and Lara out in a 4 way dance.

Lara has a trademark cuban glass jaw, GGG knocks him out with a mere slap

that been said. TS is full of ****

    Canelo is a solid fighter

good power, chin, counterpunching skills and is one of the best combination punchers in the game

Canelo would absolutely trash Rubio, el Perro style

but he still cant hold a candle to GGG

    GGG is something else

he makes solid fighters look like bums because he's that awesome and unstopabble

being knocked out by GGG in 2 rounds doesn't mean you suck

it just means GGG is that good and probably wanted to go home early that night

Canelo is slow, has average power, can't cut the ring off, and barely throws meaningful punches.

His only saving grace is his age.

His record is full of lightweights, cab drivers, old n' shot, and distinctly average fighters.

The only two decent fighters he fought were Mayweather and Lara. Who he arguably lost both fights.

Even Trout who has a glass chin practically beat him if it wasn't for the knockdown.

Oscar is hyping him as the greatest thing since slice bread.

slow feet yeah, but very quick hands

very good power, not average at all.

ask Baldomir who was never knocked out before

or Mosley who wanted to quit

or Lara who was running for dear life everytime he felt Canelo's body punches

or Trout who was put on his arse with one hit

or Mayweather himself who was sent from one side of the ring to the other by one of gingers missed punches that hit his shoulder

Canelo's main problem is his slow ass footwork and inability to cut off the ring

that's why he'll always struggle against slick movers

but put any come forward brawler or plodder against him and Canelo will dismantle him

Baldomir was a shot decrepit old man when he fought Alvarez. A gust of wind could knock him out.

Mosley who clearly was shot, tired, and completely done for when Alvarez fought him. Anthony Mundine tkoed him only a fight later.

Lara said none of Alvarez's punches hurt him after the fight. Even boxers who go to the body with average power will have some affect on a fighter's stamina if they throw enough body blows. And for christs sake. Would it kill Canelo to throw a few jabs in the fight?

Trout has a glass chin. Daniel Dawson put him down twice in round 3 of their fight lol.

Alvarez barely landed all night against Mayweather. It's stupid to even mention that fight. Maidana did a much better job against him in both fights.

Alvarez is just 24 and the boxing powers that be have made him the sports next PPV star after Mayweather leaves. He has already done PPV's and has another big one on the way with Cotto so it sort of makes financial sense to keep him away from Golovkin. In short: They can get more mileage out of a 24 year old of Latino heritage than a 33 year old Kazakh regardless of whom is better.

No arguments here. I mean I've heard that the sparring matches were fairly even but I've also heard other accounts that stated that Canelo couldn't deal with GGG's power.

Based on what I've seen of the two in the ring, I'd say that GGG is an exceptional talent and Canelo is pretty average.
