when did ward ever say he would fight above 168 ? i legitimately am unsure of the answer as i dont follow ward to much though unlike alot of people i enjoy watching his fights. if he has stated he would go up to LHW then yes he is ducking stevenson. but i dont recall him saying he would

 

this fight makes no sense. GGG is middleweight.

 

although Hagler the middleweight fought Hearns,Duran and Leonard who all came from lower divisions.

 

he doesn't have to say it what makes him think ggg should come up and at the same time he does not want to go after adonis who called him out !

henry armstrong went to middleweight and should of won the title and he was 5 foot 4 with a much smaller build then duckweather

so ward never showed any interest in moving up a division yet GGG has stated many times he will face anyone from 154 to 168 and your asking me what makes ward think GGG should come up to 168 and face him?

i mean i hate to outline this to you but if GGG said he would, anyone would expect him to back that up...? am i missing something here or is it that cut and dry ?

yes but lots of politics are involved in boxing fights can not just be made like that their is difference when someone says he will fight the person next and someone saying he will fight anyone from 154 to 168
