But has he sparred with himself, that is the question.:deal Kovalev doesn't know how hard HE punches. Because he's nevr tasted his own power. Kovalev killed someone and stopped Pascal and nearly beat Hopkins to death. GGG went 11 rounds with Murray. Gimme a ****ing break.
Yet he's going to fight Kovalev by the end of 2016. Who is GGG going to fight again? Tureano Johnson? Andy Lee. You're satisfied watching GGG fight C level guys though for the rest of his career.
So despite the fact that Boone, who fought Kov TWICE and sparred GGG said it, and Kovalev himself said it ... you wouldn't even give GGG a P4P edge? OK then.
You are wasteing Your time trying to get through to these Psychos....They can't be true Boxing Fan's....
If you're not willing to take the word of a guy who was ACTUALLY in the ring with both of them then there is no reasoning with you. Boone has no advantage to saying what he said.
Look man, boxers say lots of things that sometimes aren't true, who knows maybe in sparring Kovalev doesn't go as hard as GGG or maybe he was just being modest about his power. All I care about is their fights and IMO Kovalev has all around the best power in the game today, P4P.
You're talking about a guy who claims not to be a ggg nuthugger, but is somehow always around to defend the man LOL.
Well he sparred with GGG and wasn't knocked out by him, he's a few years older now, probably wasn't in great shape, a little more shot, and it wasn't a pro match where was trying to avoid being punched. Kovalev clipped him he ran for his life in survival mode for 3 minutes and was KO'd. And said Kovalev was the hardest puncher he'd ever been in the ring with. Boone is being paid to say that by Abel Sanchez who doesn't like Kovalev and is the most shameless hype man in the sport who I can't stand, I wish GGG would get away from his ass, he's done GGG far more harm than he has good.
I don't agree, even though he's been totally shameless about it, he's done a great job at raising GGG's profile significantly... That kind of hype comes at a price though, if GGG ever loses against somebody he shouldn't, it's not going to be good for GGG at all..
GGG's already paying somewhat of a price for it now with the hate he gets. That's why I think Sanchez is harming him, all the hate he gets is because of the platitudes of Abel Sanchez, if he'd just shut the **** up and let GGG, his skills and persona sell itself then I think GGG would have more support.
You're probably right. I get the feeling that's kind of the point - you really won't see GGG trash talk, so Sanchez is playing PT Barnum to drum up press quickly since GGG didn't get here until later in his career. I get the vibe that Abel is more like a pro wrestling manager when he takes on that role. Getting people to hate your fighter isn't necessarily a terrible route. Emotion sells in boxing, and haters and fans pay with the same cash. Because GGG himself is a nice guy, they get the best of both worlds.
I dont think Abel has anything to do with the way people react to Gennady. I cant remember a single soundbite from Abel, nor do i care to. People love Gennady for what he does in the ring, and his personality The hate on here is mostly trolling. It has nothing to do with Abel. It has to do with sad little virgins who enjoy attention from picking faults in a hugely popular fighter You have a deep rooted hate for Abel Sanchez, but his influence on people is negligible, trust me on that
