Looks like GGG is already getting more threads a day as Floyd and Pac in their primes

Mark Breland for one, although he had a successful career. Just not on par with the hype he was getting.

Leon Spinks(despite his decision to an aging Ali)

Pete Rademacher(the only man to challenge for a world title in his pro debut. Olympic Gold medalist, knocked out by Floyd Patterson in the 6th round)

This thread was started as merely a hate thread. The starter hates GGG & is jealous that GGG is already the best 160 fighter in the world today. PERIOD!!
BUT to answer the guy that says Lemieux has no chance ?? You can NEVER say that when a guy punches as hard as Lemieux & GGG do. It would only take one lapse of concentration & the boom is lowered
Kudos to Lemieux for stepping up & taking the fight no other 160 pounder wants to entertain. I hope its a barn burner and the better man on the night gets the win

The big Cuban Heavyweight Jorge Luis Gonzalez beat both Lennox Lewis & Rid**** Bowe as amateurs but was a disaster & laughing stock as a pro

You have to be pretty stupid to claim/believe that amateur success has nothing to do with pro success. The guy who succeeds in the pros without a successful amateur career is an anomaly, and it's usually a talented fighter who cut their amateur career short to turn pro. Good fighters are good fighters and almost every notable fighter in history had a pro career that reflected their amateur career. The amateur game is the sport, the pro game is the business and it's things other than skills that can let you down.

You're right, who is this GGG guy anyway is he even any good at boxing? Maybe he should switch careers and become a piano tuner?

It's meaningless in terms of the quoted number of wins and defeats, as it is total fabrication!

It massively irritates me that Golovkin 'only ever lost 5 fights as an amateur and won nearly 400' ... When the only verifiable record we have for him is winning 42, losing 8 (including a loss to Dirrell).

It's not quite the superman record we are led to believe, and he lost a number of fights ...
