Do you or anyone else know if HBO actually turned down Geale as an opponent? Strange if so because GGG has had such trouble getting top fighters to face him. Now one(Geale) is apparently finally ready and HBO may have told him no. :!:

Just checked boxing records Geale V Wood Horden Pavilion 19th of February...So the Geale V Golovkin fight should still be a chance Geale will have 2 months to prepare for it.!!!!

HBO needs to put up some money to get Martinez, Quillin, Geale, Sturm, and other top fighters at middleweight to fight Golovkin.........

2 months to prepare for the GGG? I don't know, unless both their fights turn out as expected ie glorified sparring sessions

I'd be happy to see 3G fighting Rubio on April if Geale , Murray , Quillin and the rest of all MW ducks don't want any piece of 3G.

    Geale isn't going to fight Golovkin after a 9 month lay off. It's called a tune-up, num-nuts.

    ****ing amateurs on this site.

Unless it was Julian Jackson, G Man, Hagler, Monzon....and to a lesser extent: Tito, Hearns, Ray Leonard or Ray Robinson

Today nobody at Middleweight can deal with GGG open or closed...GGG will even be more effective in 154 if he can make the weight as Abe claims

"but I feel a good powerful counter puncher could be a pain in the ass for GGG"

    Stevens is a huge puncher

Only reason he tagged him was cause after Stevens felt that power, he spent the entire fight cowering on the ropes. GGG had literally nothing coming back at him, aside from the occassional hail mary

The fact that power puncher Steven's Hail Marys connected and GGG barely turned his head tells you a lot about GGG - guy's a granite chinned ****ing monster

ggg doenst throw the same hook.

some of those are designed to make the other guy open up.

thats the first i noticed about him, he throws the same punch with varying degree of speed and power.

it is hard to gauge which one is the power punch.

True! But an effective counter puncher? I think GGG will clear out 160. But when he eventually does shift to Super Middle, I feel Ward might have the skill to find those chin.ks in the armor.

Hell I just want to see GGG in a close fight :lol::lol:

GGG better not move to 168, he will become Vassily Jirov at Heavy or Tiger Michalewski at Cruiser

Golovkin averaged 99 punches per round and got hit less than 12 against Stevens.. Boxers who throw that kind of volume tend to get hit over twice as much in return. Too bad he could not have started his pro career with Abel Sanchez and K2 promotions.

Wood is another cherry pick for the coward Geale
Geale was offered the Golovkin fight in Monte Carlo but instead of taking it he crapped his pants.
