GGG's pickhammer jab and his great footwork would be too much for RJJ of 1993

GGG is using footwork techniques that Roy Jones Jr doesn't even know exist. See GGG's shifting, Roy Jones doesn't even know what that is. And wouldn't know how to react to it.

Footwork is easily GGG who is a master at cutting off the ring.

Power is definitely GGG. That left hook is amazing. GGG hits like a mac truck.

Maybe Jones had the better jab, but I'm not so sure.

Based on cutting the ring off and jabbing who?

In my opinion, although it's a forum and it's fun to speculate, all of these predictions of him knocking out Roy and beating Toney etc, need to be suspended until he's beaten some elite guys.

    Those 90's MW's were overrated?

    WHO has Golovkin beaten?

Toney beat McCallum and Nunn etc.

McCallum beat Kalambay and Graham etc.

Roy beat Hopkins and then Toney at SMW.

    Need I go on?

Roy had blazing speed, incredible reflexes, and one punch power in either hand, coming as lead shots from unorthodox angles.

    Left hook?

Go and watch Roy take out Thomas Tate in under 2 rounds who'd been 12 with Jackson.

This hype is now getting silly.

Everybody knows that Jones is greater than Golovkin. But this is a H2H mythical matchup.

Greatness has nothing to do with this thread.

I know, but the only thing that Roy Jones better than Golovkin in my opinion is he's a whole lot faster.

But the other advantages go to Golovkin.

Roy Jones is bigger though and that could factor into it.

Sure, but in this mythical match up, we can put forward a theory of how Roy might have beaten him, based on the great attributes that he showed against a list of very capable fighters.

Whereas we can't do that at the moment for Golovkin. Which isn't his fault, but there you go. How could he be favoured over Roy, when he hasn't beaten any one of significance?

Roy was a phenom in his 20's.

Didn't know it existed ,.Have you watched a prime Jones his foot work was one of his greatest assests! These threads really expose who knows what about who .. And GGG hasn't even been tested at the pro level like Jones was by much better boxers

When GGG used shifting in the ring Roy Jones was a commentator. He had no idea what it was. That happened.

Golovkin is well schooled fighter who is/was more technically proficient than Jones.

Yes, Roy was bigger, heavier, much faster, with a bigger variety of punches, and he was also extremely hard to to hit clean, due to his great reflexes. Whereas we know that GG is easy enough to hit. Could you have seen Roy having much trouble finding the target with his incredible accuracy and athleticism?

Bet if they shared the ring together GGG wouldn't know which angle Roy was coming from ..You see it's all relevant in the ring ..And one other thing who the hell has GGG fought ? I mean it also counts as to who you display your talent against!

Yes he would have some trouble. Golovkin would make Jones fight his fight. Since Golovkin is the more technically proficient fighter he could do a better job controlling ring real estate and angles.

Why do people still talk about Tarver's leftovers? Tarver wasn't even that good.
