Just rewatched round 5 myself, twice.

Normal speed, I scored it 28-19 to GGG.
In slo mo I scored it 22-16 to GGG.

I don't need Compubox to tell me who won.

If you want clean, hard punches, they were landed, and landed by Golovkin. :deal:

No he did not. Means you're counting more than clean lands.

I completely agree that the one looking for cleaner shots has a disadvantage in compubox. Although I will point out that there is a large discrepancy between the shots that GGG landed and Canelo according to Compubox and it is a tough case to prove that GGG stats were inflated to the point where it would make a difference as to who should have won the fight (from the POV of Compubox). I will also point out that it is much easier to land the cleaner shots when your opponent is coming forward the whole time, which Triple G was forced to do to avoid a robbery. If you point out that that is irrelevant because nobody forced Golovkin to use that strategy that is a fair point. I can also point out that some judges like to see the boxers coming forward because it makes boxing look good.

I feel Canelo abused the fact that Golovkin was trying to KO him at all costs, and fought a survival fight with the intention that the judges would be more favorable to the money fighter. If it was up to me I would just give the fight to whoever felt hurt the most throughout the fight, but thats not easy to determine sometimes. Counting every punch would only be part of the problem, you would also have to take into account how hard the they hit, how it lands and all that. Not possible to do, as you would have to go by feeling.

yes he did. I count what I see and I see Canelo outlanded in that round and most of the people agree on that.

Look at how these clowns backed off of punchstats when it worked against their guy. But only Canelo is corrupt and receives special treatment. Every little G fanboy got made to look like a hypocrite in this thread.

If you had Clenelo winning, you’re just as credible as he is
