The median, mean, and mode of the average of scorecards for that fight was 114-113 Golovkin. It was razor tight as razor tight. It is debatable. And more than just a couple boxers and trainers who gave their opinion scored it for Jacobs... Might not be what you want to hear, but that is the reality.
You are on a trolling roll. How about "stock has gone up because a guy he beat won a fight." Don't choose to be stupid.
Yep, went up because a guy he (closely and controversially) beat won a fight. And went down because a guy he (obviously and blatantly) ducked, lost a fight. I guess it's a wash.
You can't duck a fighter (Derev) when you instead fight an infinitely better one (Canelo). That is as dumb as saying Tim Bradley ducked Amir Khan at 140 when he instead fought Pacquiao at 147 for five times more money (1.3 mil offer for Khan, ~7 mil for Pac). So, yeah, you sound pretty dumb right now. Drop it.
Dawg, I gave GGG a pass for ducking Deveryanchenko, Murata, Andrade and Charo between Canelo fights, it's business and no boxer wants to jeopardize a $30m dollar payday. I understand this. But the bottom line is simple he had those fights available and fought a set-up. Business is business, yes, but facts are facts. The bottom line is that he has had plenty of good fights available, including Ward and Lara, that have not happened. I didn't make it up, it is what it is. In 10 years as a pro, GGG has fought ONE P4P top 10 fighter; Canelo Alvarez, and arguably ( I wouldn't say so) a second in Danny Jacobs. That's it. His trainer and promoter have been going on and on about him being the greatest ever. I didn't manufacture that hype, they did. At some point people want to see you back it up.
Jacobs never has been close to a P4P top 10 fighter. The only top 5 fighters he has faced at MW are Canelo, Jacobs, and Lemieux... I'm with you on Golovkin arguments as a whole, completely. But not in regards to most of what you have said in this thread. As for the understanding business but facts are facts part... well, every boxer ducked every boxer they never fought.
That’s terribly inaccurate, as a matter of fact the two camps that fought last night and 75% of Gleason gym had Canelo winning 7/5. I’m not knocking you’re opinion but you can’t make these extreme claims and think people will take you seriously.
Yep, for a guy with 12 fights he did great against an experienced top contender who is now champion. His age way be a deterrent from ever getting another shot anytime soon though. This may not be a problem either as long as he stays clean food and dribk wise.
He didn't duck Dervo to fight Canelo , he ducked Dervo to fight Vanes Martirosyan. And Vanes wasn't a replacement for Canelo either , he was a replacement for Spike O Sullivan.
