GGGs team pushes fight back scared of purse bid.

    Fight is supposed to be in the first quarter of 2017 so could be less than 6 months away.....so looks like it is still on...

    Its still on but the BS from Loeffler is uncalled for. He has been slinging mud at Jacobs camp acting like they are holding up the fight when it is GGGs camp that don't want it going to a purse bid. He even said that if Jacobs doesn't come to terms they must not want the fight when it is Loeffler post poning the fight by avoiding the purse bid.

    Either let it go to a purse bid or give Jacobs a higher percentage so the fight is on HBO. Its that simple but instead Loeffler wants to keep postponing negotiations without going to a purse bid until he gets his way. I hope the WBA doesn't put up with this sh*t any longer.

    Whose team is postponing the purse bid? It isn't Jacobs team. GGGs trainer contradicts himself all the time. The trainer trains his fighter he doesn't set up the fight. Loeffler is avoiding a purse bid. Either let it go to a purse bid and take the risk of the fight being on another network or pay Jacob's a higher percentage to get the fight on HBO. It is that simple.

    If you listen to that video the fight was not taking place Jacobs was not fighting on December 10...better to fight later than not at all....simple as this if it was December 10 the fight is off....again listen to the video...

    Who was holding up the purse bid? It wasn't Jacobs team. Listen I think Jacobs is a paper titlist and a glorified #1 contender. I am not a fan of his but what I do see is alot of trash talk from GGGs camp when they had no intention of the fight going to a purse bid. Jacobs could very well pull out and duck GGG but it hasn't happened and GGGs team is acting like he is ducking GGG even though they won't let the fight go to a purse bid so we can see who really wants it. Then Loeffler comes out like its Jacobs team fault for not accepting their terms and thats why the fight isn't happening. Sorry let it go to a purse bid. Its that simple. Frankly I am hoping the WBA forces a purse bid so we can get this show on the road.

    I hope they force it also...but Like the Canelo incident very little they can do how can they possibly force Jacobs to fight if he say's I wont be fighting on December 10....put a gun to his head and walk him into the ring...It's simple Jacob's does not want the fight and I seriously doubt he will fight Golovkin first quarter of 2017....

    If GGGs team wasn't avoiding the purse bid they could strip whoevers team doesn't show up for it. It is that simple. But they cannot because Loeffler does not want a purse bid.

    How can only one promoter postpone a mandatory fight genius?

    I think you missed Team Jacobs statements that Jacobs wasnt ready for December as he needs a full camp of 12 months to prepare for GGG. And they are right, Danny has to be at his best against Golovkin.

    Loeffler said the extra time to promote this fight is good.


    If Team Jacobs wanted a purse bid they could've had it. Just by sitting and waiting for WBA to do its thing.

    But a purse bid would mean less money for Danny.

    I think both camps dont want this to go to a purse bid and if they agree I think thats great cuz I really wanna see this fight.

    Very true. Loeffler asked for a purse bid just two weeks ago. Then WBA decided to give more time for negociations.

    I guess OP missed that too
