GGGs unimpressive performance (no body shots,looked rushed)

Yeah Golovkin lack's handspeed that's one of his flaws another one in the Canelo fight was that he needed a stable position before he threw a combination. He should work on this for the rematch

 

Great assessment, TBH I thought the Jacobs fight was closer ....GGG won both!

 

I disagree. If he just sticks behind his jab he won't apply enough pressure to out work Canelo. Canelo is too good defensively to just be beaten by a jab alone. If he adopts a strategy where he stands off behind the jab limiting counter opportunities he'll completely give up the centre of the ring which he was struggling to keep even when pressing forward. He'll allow Canelo to fight the fight at his pace and in the centre of the ring which suits Canelo. No way Golovkin wins fighting this way.

 

Great fight with two warriors. Anyone overly criticising either of them is just looking for something to pick on.
I thought it was fairly equal but GGG won comfortably for me because he was the aggressor and Canelo seemed to take breaks every round on the defensive without trying to counter.
Canelo needs to improve his gas tank

 

In past big money fights, we've already had the fixed scorecards, the fixed referee, the fixed commission and the biased commentary.

This one went one step further by adding the rehearsed action.

You can't deny progress.

 

Not by a jab on its own obviously, work off the jab but make sure you throw it regular and hook off the jab. Forget the body attack unless its gifted you on a plate. GGG is as cute as they come, he knows the last time that he fought the right fight not going the body, Canelos waiting for it. He cant use his usual tactics v Canelo. If it was a level playing field then I believe he fought the right fight last time and we wouldn't be talking about it now !
