Azumah Nelson and Ike Quartey were the best. Which was one is greater? I think Nelson has the better resume.
Nelson is the better fighter and has the better resume, Quartey was talented and could have been more than he was but he was too lazy and once he made some good money he stopped taking the sport as serious as he once did still was one of the best welters of the 90's and one of Africa's best but the Professor was better.
Nelson is without doubt both better and greater than Ike, who was of course excellent and accomplished but I wouldn't call him a historically great fighter. Whereas Nelson is a top 100 p4p type fighter, I would say.
Love and Bob Alloty have not got great statistical records, but that does not tell the true story, they were excellant fighters, completely unprotected have bag will travel merchants, who threw a scare into many a good fighter, They certainly deserve a mention
Nana Konadu was better than Quartey in a similar style. Mind you, he arguably achieved less with his talent than Ike did.
