What is it about African fighters, from Ghana in particular...they always seem to get completely screwed over by referees and judges. They NEVER get a fair shake. Has anyone noticed this? Im not just talking about in British rings, it happens in the US too.

Anytime a Ghanaian fighter performs better than was expected, they ALWAYS take it away from him. Last night was an embaressment to British boxing. Now everyone knows that Richie Davies is the worst referee in world boxing and we all know that Wank Farren judges are born and bred cheaters...but even by these shocking standards what happened last night in the Cox vs Sai fight was bordering on criminal. The African won the fight clearly by at least 2 or 3 rounds thats BEFORE you count the TWO points TAKEN AWAY from the British fighter Cox...it goes to the cards and they gave it the Brit.:-( Im ****ing staggered by it. Apparently today in a British ring you can win 5 of 12 rounds...have 2 points deducted for 12 deliberate low blows an STILL win the fight :huhas long as the opponant is African.

Other Examples where Ghanaian/African fighter was completely ****ed over in British or US rings...

Ike Quartey vs Vernon Forrest - Disgrace
Ike Quartey vs Oscar Dela Hoya - Joke
Joshua Clottey vs Miguel Cotto- Absolute robbery
Joseph Agbeko vs Abner Mares- Joke
Herman Ngoujo vs Paulie Malignaggi- Joke
Obodo Sai vs Jamie Cox- The worst iv seen in a British ring
Im sure Azuma Nelson was probabaly robbed at some point.

Basically if your from Ghana..make sure you win by KO or dont bother coming over because even if you win 15 of 12 rounds they are NOT going to let you have it. :bart

It actually pains me to see fighters get robbed. I feel bad for these Ghanians who train there arse off and beat the very best only to get robbed

Cotto-Clottey was not an absolute robbery. I think I scored it for Clottey by a razor thin 114-113

Its an absolute robbery in the sense that right from the start if it came to a close decision, he was NEVER going to get it even if he deserved it.

Clottey won that fight and he didnt get it. That isnt right. And the excuses by the americans were shocking...they say Clottey threw the fight away in the last 2 rounds with inactivity.

So somehow Cotto managed to win the fight based on the final 2 rounds where he was in complete survival mode...on his bike and RUNNING for 6 full minutes??

CLottey was still rewarded with a Pacquiao fight....which is what would have happened if he had one anyways.

I gave Cotto-Clottey to Cotto, because of the KD..

But i don't argue with people who saw it for Clottey..

    Was a great fight..

Cotto-Clottey was no robbery. I scored it for Cotto I seem to recall. So to call it an 'absolute robbery' is hyperbole. Agbeko-Mares was shockingly officiated though.

Miguel Cotto knows he lost that fight...and did you see the state of his face after that fight compared to Clotteys?

Agbeko vs Mares was atrocious. I dont know where you are but if your British...did you see the Cox vs Sai fight last night?

The Brit fighter lost 7 rounds clearly AND had 2 points deducted for about 13 deliberate low blows in a row...and STILL won the fight. The African guy cried when he heard the decision. It was a total joke
