Who do you guys got? I have a feeling the scrappy Mares will show up this time and this will be fought on the ropes.
I see Jhonny as more than capable of winning this fight if Mares plays safety first without completely shelling up. I'll pick Gonzalez for the repeat.
If Mares can get through the first five rounds without getting caught too flush, he wins. I don't think he's got the defense to do that though.
As many others have mentioned, Mares' will undoubtedly be more cautious(and overly concerned with the left hook) in the rematch. Nacho, in response, will craft a gameplan heavy on feints(again), uppercuts and bodywork. I've got to be honest here, I just don't see Mares winning legitimately...assuming there are no issues or interruptions in Gonzalez' camp.
Mares needs to fight close to gonzales. Last time out he gave johnny way too much time andspace to load up the left and land it perfectly. Mares has got to make it a war and beat johnny up on the inside.
I really like Mares but u just dont how somebody comes back from a KO like that. For mares to go 12 rounds and not get hit with any more bombs wont happen so how will he ract when he does?
