Giacobbe Fragomeni vs. Silvio Branco RBR

Round 10

Branco takes a chipping jab to the brow, and digs his own into Branco's midsection. Fragomeni slams away with punch after punch over the top. Branco does well to avoid them when backing up and jabbing, but when he tries to stand his ground and bash Fragomeni with a halting right (or navigate the ropes after backing into them) he gets tagged and stunned. Branco pushes out jabs and rights but is inexorably pushed back. Fragomeni throws some big shots and misses. Now Branco comes forward!! The dynamic changes! Branco is landing better on the front foot, and Fragomeni is falling apart somewhat!! Big exchange, and Branco gets through with a glancing hook and right while Fragomeni misses a few! Branco steps on the gas until the bell.

Round 11

Branco pops his jab but is bullied into the ropes and force fed a right hand that tips him back over them. The ref pulls them back into the ring proper, and Fragomeni goes back to work with haste. Jabs and rights tossed upstairs by Fragomeni, crossing his arms when Branco tries to counter. Fragomeni uses his right arm as a push-pole, keeping Branco on the ropes. BIG BODY SHOTS BY FRAGOMENI, with a few ground-to-air missiles blended in. Branco is looking fragile again. ("Fra-jee-lay - must be Italian!") 1-2 by Branco standing in for a moment, and Branco times him with a BIG OVERHAND RIGHT COUNTER threading just through his outstretched arms! Fragomeni ducks a jab and barrels into Branco's body. Hook to the face in the clinch by Fragomeni.

Pretty damn surprised, yeah.

Two of the three rounds I gave Branco were clear for him. (and one he just edged)

Several of the eight I gave Fragomeni were clear.

 

Round 12

Lots of clinching. Branco has put some superglue on his thumbs, and has them fish-hooked into Fragomeni's armpits. Branco is warned for a blatant headbutt on the inside. Jabs by Branco, backpedaling fast. BIG OVERHAND RIGHT by Fragomeni lunging in. Branco skips back toward the ropes, pawing with his jab. Branco is desperate to not have this be a slugfest for the final couple of minutes. UPPERCUT by Fragomeni delivered straight up as they're pressed chest to chest, countered by a 1-2 flush from Branco as he's rocked back. More shots whipped in to the face by Branco, stepping off. Solid left hook to the head by Branco, and he tries to hug as Fragomeni whacks at him with both hands.

He is waving at them with a conciliatory grin, trying to make friends.

This is bizarre.
