There aren't too many good Italian fighters today that are known outside of Italy. But Fragomeni and Branco are known to many worldwide fans, Branco for his lengthy career with wins to Glen Johnson and a past prime Robin Reid. And Giacobbe Fragomeni for giving hard hitting Crusierweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk a real run for his money in a two fight series where in the first one he got a draw in the first one and a TKO 8 loss in the 2nd one. Another very good fight of Fragomeni's is an MD loss to Zsolt Erdei ( 114-114, 115-113, 115-113 Erdei ) which was very impressive. Fragomeni wasn't outworking him that much. He was just landing bigger shots. So although Fragomeni has few good wins other then Lazalo Hubert, and a bunch of Euro level fighters but he is one of them Glen Johnson type of fighters where he may win a title or two but he isn't the greatest today but will always come to fight and try to win. But one problem is that Silvio Branco has fought pro for 25 years and is already in his late 40s. So can he still fight world class? His last major bout was against Jean Pascal that he lost by TKO. Anyways my main point in this is to the hardcore fans, Make sure you don't late this go under the radar, I feel it will be a good bout, Maybe it is just because I have been following Fragomeni and think his type of style is entertaining. So I could be bogusly hyping this up but as I said I think Hardcore fans will enjoy this fight.
I'll keep an eye out. Frag/Erdei is one I've been meaning to watch too. If anyone wants to start an Italian boxers thread, by the way-send me a link and I'll be there to support it. This content is protected
:good I might then. Not many people know about the good Prospects coming out of italy like Andrea Di Luisa or the veterans like Giacobbe Fragomeni and Silvio Branco. Same with many other European countries.
BTW: A lot of the stories and fight breakdowns I post on here I also put on blog " Boxing Legends " on facebook. So check it out. - https://www.facebook.com/#!/BoxingLegends
