Branco sustained a shoulder injury, withdrew from this defense and vacated the belt.

Jussi Koivula of Finland will step in to challenge Bundu for the vacant Euro title.

"Juicy K" is 19-2-1 (7) and you'll only likely recognize the name of a single opponent - Łukasz Maciec, who shredded his face with punches and battered him to a ref stoppage. Maciec is known primarily for losing unanimous decisions to Branco and Hugo Centeno, Jr. :!:

Nabbing this strap is going to be even more of a breeze for Bundu than it was originally going to be (and look at the poll, almost nobody thought he'd lose to Branco).

Oktay was a good fighter. All of his losses were to world champions (one a 4 division champ) with a combined record of 37-9 (29) in world title bouts and he cleaned out most of the best European opposition in his prime.

Even at the end of his career he put up a valiant struggle with Cotto.

So he will still get the belt I guess but the scalp will be a quarter as creditable for Bundu. Time is running short for him. Needs better opponents soon.
