now this would be a fun fight to view two boxing artists at their best id have to say toss up but my guts tell me conn at peak as he hits a tad harder than joey g but joey g might just be able to pull one out with his magic bag of boxing tricks. thought and views please.

Conn by UD....greater fighter....with better footwork.
Giardello hadn“t power to stop him, and his counter-punches would be less effective against a smart fighter like Conn, moving all the time.....

Conn was a light heavy and giardello a middle. pound for pound they were very equal. if they were both in the same weight class, i would lean towards giardello. they were equally clever but giardello was the more durable.

The young middleweight Billy Conn who as a youngster beat Fritzie Zivic,Babe Risko,
Vince Dundee, Young Corbett, Teddy Yarosz, Solly Krieger, Fred Apostoli, ALL CHAMPS.
would have outsped any version of the MW Joey Giardello...Too ,too fast for Giardello whom I saw being flattened by an acquaintance Harold Green in Joey's 31st bout in 1950... Billy conn was never an amateur and was tossed into the pros by his "brave"
hard drinking manager Johnny Ray when young Billy was a 17 year old pup...Billy Conn
in my eyes as well as in the opinion of the esteemed boxing writer Frank Graham, would have given hell to Ray Robinson were they to have met at equal MW weights.
Conn would have outsped, and outhustled any version of Joey Giardello, of that I am certain...Billy was a tough, tough dude...

As skilled and clever a hard-knocks wizard as Giardello was, he'd never, at any weight, be able to beat Conn.
