master boxer vs possibly the hardest right hand. whos winning this how and why?i really dont think the rock could get to the crafty giardello but anything could happen.
I have mixed emotions about the outcome of this bout..In 1950 I saw a neighbor of mine Harold Green flatten Joey Giardello with a left hook in Joey's 30th pro bout. And in 1945 I saw the young tiger Graziano flatten Harold Green in 3 rounds at MSG. Graziano was at his peak before he met Tony Zale the first time in 1946 I believe. But I think Giardello improved his skills as a late bloomer and i would take him to decision young Rocky ,both at their bests...But don't count the grenade throwing Graziano out of a possible upset....Most unlikely though...
If my memory serves me correctly (and I believe that it does), Giardello was born in the vast oppresive wasteland that some call NY....his parents making a wise decision that would benifit their family for generations fled into the night, for Freedom and Liberty and found the land of milk and honey that all call PHILADELPHIA!!!!!!!! Giardello suffering from nighmares of the horrific oppression and desolation he and his family endured in NY comes in extremely focused and waving the flag of PHILADELPHIA scores a solid 10-5 decision.....although NY newspapres will likely score it as poorly as they did Loughran vs Tunney!!!!!! My sincerest appologies to Burt!
In the Big Picture of it all, Joey Giardello was way to clever and savvy for Rocky Graziano. He'd win a onesided decision over Rocky.
