There was apparently a Jack McAuliffe sparring session filmed before this or the Leonard Cushing fight. But it apparently looked nothing like a real fight, from what I've seen of his exhibitions I believe it, I'd still love to see that

Is this one of those re-enactments that were sometimes filmed?

The Courtney" affair," was 6,1 min rounds in a tiny ring .Corbett got the call because Sullivan wanted too much money.

Nobody wearing a G-string in the ring makes anyone else look foolish.

No matter how much I read or see on Corbett, about how great he was, how his footwork was amazing, that his style was so scientific, I STILL cannot think of him in any way other than a stiff, chin/head up in the air, laughable prancing pansy in thongs. I'm sure that compared to the Neanderthals fighting in those days that he looked amazing. That's more on how bad THEY were then how good HE was. IMO.

Also, at the risk of sounding like @Johnny_B, I would hope he did make him look foolish. Had the other guy ever even put on a pair of boxing gloves? He was utter toilet.

He actually had a few, claimed the New Jersy heavyweigh championship but, yeah, he was brutal! Went n a drinking session with Maher though.

Leonard vs Cushing is rather entertaining. There were in there to fight.

Re Corbett vs. Courtney, it was a mis-match, if the fighters got paid. While the area was on the smaller side, you can argue it should count as a real fight. There are six viable rounds, Corbett gets the KO on que. What we see is just one of those rounds.

Wrong again, he's on Box Rec, losing to Maher for example. His NJ championship fight however remains a mystery!

They were trying to get a few people. Supposedly Kid Lavigne and Young Griffo almost agreed, but refused when they saw how small the ring was.

Did he not claim to have beaten John J Dwyer? From what I recall I got the impression he somewhat bullshitted his way into this.

I may be remembering wrong though
