[GIF] George Foreman thows 7 quick jabs in sparring (Great Quality)

No Doubt!

 

Anyone tell who the guy George is sparring with here on Bitplayers video? He has a bit of a Ken Norton stance and way of fighting, but probably not him.

 

He shows he knew how to throw quick, consecutive jabs and it suggests he had more than brute power in his favor, but there are two different stories about how that never came to fruition (at least until the comeback):

In one, he said he wanted to be a finesse fighter and use skills to defeat opponents, but Saddler convinced him otherwise and he started relying on strength vs skill.

But Gil Clancy said he tried to get Foreman away from using power and become a more polished fighter; during training, he kept George away from the heavy bag and focused more on speed bag, jump rope, roadwork, jabbing, etc ... but George really missed the feeling of getting a pump from the hard workouts, and went back to beating up the heavy bag, chopping wood, etc.

No idea which is true, and it doesn't really matter, but some interesting background -
