Man, when the punch is on repeat you can see how powerful it was.
Johnson doesn't just fall, his body swings with the momentum of the power, and he crashed into the canvas while Willards momentum had him grabbing the top rope to brace himself.

And you can see the the trajectory of Willards punch. It's not a straight, it's a damn overhand with really nice technique. He was a power puncher when he wanted to be. No kidding his technique on this punch is akin to Wilder KO Price, or one of the sharp Joe Louis overhands that travel in a tight angle.

Tremendous right hand no arguments about the legitimacy of that ko. Sam McVey, Johnson's chief second said Johnson didn't quite know where he was when he got up.
Earlier in the fight Willard knocked out 3 of Johnson's gold teeth which Jack swallowed ,Johnson told the promoter Barney Curley about it the next morning when he arrived to collect his purse .Jack told Curley ,"I knew how the crowd would react if I spit them out ."Talking about Willard's toughness he said, "I didn't think there was any man who could take my punches and still be there if I really went after them,he beat me fair and square I've no kick coming."
