Although not as easy to see as a Manny Pacquiao combo, here you can vaguely get a glimpse of what looks a lot like a 5 punch combo landed by Corbett.

It seems to be a jab, followed by a quick 1-2-1-2.
You can notice Fitzsimmons head getting snapped back by each blow.

Calling that a one second 5 punch combo may be stretching it a bit.

Corbett though, looks like a giant in there compared to Fitzsimmons.

Looks like 3 punches to me. Jab, jab, straight right to the body. The footage quality is poor so it's hard to tell.

It looks like Fitzsimmons head gets nailed back in rapid fire.
If you look at Corbetts right bicep, you can see him push it forward twice, which looks like 2 punches.

I can't see 5 punches being thrown by Corbett.

    It's not easy to see.
But I'm looking at Corbetts feet, and how he looks to step into 5 punches.
His arms that move really fast.
And how Fitzsimmons head snaps back from rapid fire.

I see a jab, then he steps in with a 1-2-1-2.

It is a bit hard to tell. Looks like 3 punches hitting Fitz but could be more. Always like to see Ruby Rob on film.

You still regard him as being a British world heavyweight champion, Fergy?

Could also have been regarded as a New Zealander or naturalised American at that time, I think.

Its a tough question ken. When British heavy s names are brought up that won the /a title, bobs always Classed as the first. Been born in Cornwall it's not surprising we've claimed him. But of course like u say he did move to new Zealand at a young age and I'm not sure how long he spent in America or if he lived there. And not certain what nationality bob claimed he was either. But my personal opinion is that he's British. Lewis received the same sort of national uncertainty. Was he British, Canadian, Jamaican, American lol. We didn't have any heavy weight champions from Fitz through to Lewis so we had to grab em while we could lol.

If so, those punches certainly don't look particularly "sharp."

5 feather fisted "punches" landed by a pansy in women's underwear. Ok.

The combination to see is just prior to the knockdown. This film runs slow by the way, yet Corbett's speed is still very quick.

Looks to be 13 razor sharp and vicious punches in total in under .3 seconds.

lol If Ali-Liston II had occurred in 1897, we would be up to this day saying that Liston went to the canvas because he stumbled or slipped..... No one could see the Anchor Punch....
